Hedo Turkoglu may leave the Turkish basketball federation in order to became a special consultant of Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
All the major Turkish newspapers reported the news today and the question is if Turkoglu will have to resign from the position of the Turkish basketball federation CEO or not. He will be the 24th senior advisor of Erdogan, a group that includes political personel, former army members and also former journalists. Turkoglu will be the second former athlete added to the group after Olympic champion wrestler Hamza Yerlikaya.
