What an entrance in the Turkish Basketball Super League playoffs by the reigning champs! Pinar Karsiyaka outscored Galatasaray 7-0 in the last three minutes of the teams’ first quarterfinals game, to win 74 – 67 on the road, and get the upper hand in the series.
The team from Izmir showed its steel by grabbing the home-court advantage of its opponents with a solid teamwork effort on both ends of court, since five players scored in double-digits. But the last minute hero was definitely Kenan Sipahi who shoved the dagger in the heart of Galatasaray, when he made it 67 – 72, 30 seconds before the end of the game, with a downtown basket.
