Besiktas is undergoing a serious roster reconstruction and among its reported targets, is Lithuanian center Antanas Kavaliauskas.
As Lithuanian TV channel TV3 reported, the Turkish club has shown an interest to Kavaliauskas currently belongs to Lietuvos Rytas. Even though there is no buy-out in his contract, acquiring him might not be a big issue for Besiktas.
The reason is simple: Kavaliauskas’ salary is way too much for Rytas’ standards and the club will quite possibly look for ways of releasing him. So if Besiktas wants him, they might find a way to strike a deal with the Lithuanian team, one that might come easily as well.
