Jordan Theodore scored 20 points, dished out 7 assists and grabbed 4 rebounds as Banvit subdued Besiktas 66 – 57, becoming the third team to advance in the Turkish Cup semifinals
Besiktas entered the fourth period with a 4-point lead, 48 – 44 but its opponents forced them to score only 2 points in the first five minutes while responding with 13, making it 50 – 57 in the mid of the quarter.
Banvit remained at a distance up until the final buzzer and Besiktas was eliminated despite the double-double of Earl Clark (14 points, 11 rebounds) and the 13 points plus 5 rebounds by Michael Roll.
They were the only players with a considerable input from their team since coach Sarica saw many of his main weapons getting silenced by Banvit’s superior defense.
For the winners, Gediminas Orelik had a double-double of 12 points plus 12 rebounds and Gasper Vidmar flirted with one after 9 points and 10 rebounds.
