Ergin Ataman, who was dismissed by the referees for his objections in Galatasaray‘s most recent game against Darussafaka, will face consequences by the Turkish Basketball Federation Disciplinary Board.
According to the announcement, he will not be present in the first playoffs game with the team.
The full statement goes as follows: “Galatasaray Sports Club coach Ergin Ataman’s rude, sarcastic, humiliating words and movements in the Darüşşafaka Doğuş – Galatasaray Odeabank game that took place on May 3rd in Istanbul have been taken into consideration. In accordance with Article 36 of the Basketball Discipline Directive, he is unanimously fined with 20.000,00-TL (5.000 euros) and 3 games away from the team.”
