With the season over in the Turkish League and none of the goals of the team reached, Galatasaray is looking the replacement of Ergin Ataman whose contract is expiring.
According to Eurohoops sources, Saso Filipovski, currently head coach of Banvit, is a favorite of the Galatasaray board members and their top choice of taking over the helm of the team.
The club won’t begin talks with Banvit for Filipovski until first holding a meeting with Ataman this week in order to discuss the 2016/2017 season and officially mark the end of their cooperation.
Galatasaray will then proceed to make its offer to both Banvit and Filipovski who is under contract with the team from Bandirma for one more season.
Banvit president Ozgan Kilic had mentioned that, “Saso Filipovski has so many suitor’s for his services but he has an ongoing contract with us. unless we let him go, he will stay”, when the season ended for his team but in Galatasaray they are hopeful that they will find a solution to break his contract and pen him to a deal.
