The Turkish Basketball Federation sanctioned Besiktas with two games played behind closed doors plus a fine of 50.000 liras (12.500 euros) for the incidents that caused the evacuation of the arena in Game 3 of the Finals vs Fenerbahce.
Since the next home match of Besiktas is the upcoming Game 4 of the finals, the team is forced to play what might be its last game of the season without the presence of its fans.
Besiktas was punished for the fans’ reactions (items hurled on the floor) that caused a second interruption in the match and the evacuation of the arena after instructions of the referees.
Fenerbahce is leading the series 3-0.
