Errick McCollum scored 21 points, dished out four assists and grabbed three rebounds, as Anadolu Efes defeated Buyukcekmece 94 – 75 for the fourth round of the Turkish Basketball Super League.
Ricky Ledo added 19 points plus five rebounds and four assists while Brock Motum dropped 15 points, Bryant Dunston 12 and Vladimir Stimac notched a double-double of 11 points/12 rebounds for the winning squad.
Buyukcekmece was quite competitive in the first half (46 – 45) but fell behind by 20, 77 – 57 at the end of the third quarter, never to recover. Bracey Wright scored 19 points and Erving Walker 18.
The weekend action in Turkey included a comfortable road victory of Fenerbahce over arch-rival Galatasaray but what stole the show was the double-overtime sensation between Eskisehir and Gaziantep and Billy Baron’s game-winner.
