It’s not rare that Americans are calling in-game timeouts in their rookie years in Europe. Although Will Bynum has been here before, he still asked for one in his Turkish League debut with Yesilgiresun against Usak Sportif.
That rule is allowed in the NBA but not Europe. Bynum has European experience since he was a player of Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2006 to 2008 but he probably forgot some of the rules after 10 years.
