The defending champs wanted to react after losing to Olympiacos for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and did it by beating Anadolu Efes by 26 points. The final score was 100-76 in a game decided in the first quarter.
Fenerbahce got a 27-10 lead after ten minutes of action and never looked back. Anadolu Efes tried to react in the second half, managed to cut Fenerbache’s lead to 11 points (57-46) but this was the best they could do.
Five players of the winning team scored in double digits with Brian Wanamaker being the first among equals with 15 points in 16 minutes of action. Anadolu Efes‘ Zoran Dragic was ejected during the first half of the game and Errick McCollum tried his best with 22 points but it was simply not enough.
As you can see in the standings, Fenerbahce is tied with Tofas at the top with a 14-3 record, while Anadolu Efes dropped to 11-6.
