Dwight Hardy scored a team-high 23 points as Galatasaray defeated Pinar Karsiyaka 98 – 82 at home for Round 18 of the Turkish League regular season.
It was practically mandatory for Galatasaray to win this game in order to preserve some solid playoff hopes. WIth this victory, they improved to 7 – 11 and climbed to the 10th spot of the standings.
Despite Dominic Waters’ 28 points, Pinar Karsiyaka failed to present a strong competitive case against the “Cimbom” and dropped to 6 – 12. Their own postseason hopes are getting dangerously diminished.
Adas Juskevicius helped Galatasaray get what they wanted with 18 points while DaJuan Summers added 16. Jarrod Jones had 16 points plus 6 rebounds for the losing squad.
Earlier today, Darussafaka beat Usak Sportif behind an excellent game by Scottie Wilbekin.
