Thanks to a dominant run down the stretch, Sakarya defeated Usak Sportif 83 – 73 in the game that concluded Week 20 in the Turkish League, further solidifying their place in the playoff zone.
The hosts were down 63 – 64 with less than five minutes remaining, but then Gian Clavell took over, scoring 8 points in a row and 13 overall to lead his team through a victorious 15 – 3 run.
Clavell finished with 21 points while C.J. Harris added 14 and Can Korkmaz 12 for Sakarya. Jordan Hamilton dropped a game-high 27 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for Usak Sportif.
In the rest of the games held this week in the Turkish League, Fenerbahce remained at the top after beating Pinar Karsiyaka on the road. Usak Sportif and Galatasaray took some important wins while Sonny Weems had another blazing, game-winning performance for Efes.
