Errick McCollum led Anadolu Efes Istanbul to a 78-69 victory against Besiktas Sompo Japan on Day 24 of Turkish League. Although the hosts were up by eight points with five minutes left, Besiktas managed to decrease the margin to just one point with a 7-0 run in two and a half minutes (66-65). But Efes didn’t allow a complete comeback. Errick McCollum took the responsibility and hit two 3-point shots to push his team to a win.
McCollum, the hero of Anadolu Efes this game, scored 20 points while Brock Motum added 14. On the other side, Joshua Adams’ 17 points couldn’t change the outcome.
With this win, Efes jumps to the third place with a 17-7 record while Besiktas stand right below them with 16-8.
On Saturday, Fenerbahce showed their dominance and were merciless against Trabzonspor.
