It was an impressive win for Anadolu Efes, playing away from home, scoring 100 points (74-100).
Efes’ great start to the game and the offensive show the visitors put on was the story of the contest. After twenty minutes, Ergin Ataman’s squad had an 18-point lead (40-58), scoring 58 points, shooting 11/24 three-pointers, while also being efficient from the field (53.8% FG). Efes finished the game with 18 three-pointers (18/40).
In the second half, this double-digit deficit would not go away and so the hosts could not find a way to come back.
For the winners, Toney Douglas finished the game with 24 points, while Brock Botum added 21.
Efes has now improved to an 18-7 record, while Sakarya slipped to 13-12.
