Fenerbahce secured the top seed in the Turkish League regular season after defeating second-placed Tofas Bursa 98 – 78 in Istanbul.
It was the first game of the defending champions in front of their home crowd following their qualification to the EuroLeague Final Four and they certainly gave them a show. Fener dished out 24 assists and had four players in double figures, led by Ahmet Duverioglu’s 19 points (plus eight rebounds).
Gigi Datome dropped 12 points, Melih Mahmutoglu added 11 while Kostas Sloukas finished with 10 points and six assists for the winning squad.
Raymar Morgan stood out from Tofas with 19 points and seven rebounds. Kenny Kadji scored 16 points.
