In a thrilling game down the stretch, Eskisehir defeated Usak Sportif 85-84 and qualified for the Turkish League playoffs.
Even though the visitors came into the contest with the worst record in the league, they played an excellent game and forced Eskisehir to win by a single point. With this win, the hosts improved to 15-13 record, while also ‘kicked out’ Galatasaray Odeabank from the BSL playoffs.
Galata currently sits at the ninth spot in the standings and with two games remaining will not be able to qualify for the playoffs even if they win both games. In the final game of Day 28, Tofas blew out Buyukcekmece on the road.
Earlier on Sunday, Darussafaka got past Anadolu Efes at home and hopes for a top-4 finish ahead of the playoffs.
On Saturday, Fenerbahce Dogus got past Besiktas in Istanbul, while Gaziantep defeated Banvit at home. Galata easily defeated Istanbul BB but got eliminated from the playoffs as Eskisehir also won on Sunday.
