The first day of the Turkish League playoffs was completed with Tofas’ blowout 85-58 victory at home over Eskisehir.
With 30 points in just ten minutes, Tofas had the upper hand in the game. At the half, the home team had picked up an 18-point lead (51-33), with Eskisehir not being able to respond. Five players from the winners scored 10+ points. Jeffrey Morgan put up 16 points for the hosts.
Earlier on Tuesday, Anadolu Efes picked up a 78-69 victory over Darussafaka Basketbol to lead the series 1-0.
Since the start of the contest, the hosts came out ready. With tough defense, Efes’ squad went up by double-figures (37-25). Darussafaka came back in the final period (67-64), making it a one-possession game but could not complete the comeback.
Clarence Weems was on another level, scoring 25 points for the hosts, and handing out five assists, while Errick McCollum added 15. For Darussafaka JaJuan Johnson led the comeback with his 24 points but eventually, it wasn’t enough.
