Zeljko Obradovic commented himself without any question the fact that few Fenerbahce fans showed up for Game 2 of the BSL semifinals against Banvit.
“I thank all the supporters who came here tonight”, said Fenerbahce’s coach, “they really supported us. But the saddest part is we are playing two semi-finals and we had 3500 fans in the gym, we had even fewer fans in here in the first game. My players don’t deserve it. We have 7000 fans with have season tickets, but only 3500 showed up. Something must be wrong if 3500 out of 7000 fans showed up tonight. I’m always open to listen to everything. You need your fans to become a big team and a big club. Nothing is possible without them. Fans have to come and support us whoever we play against”.
Obradovic called out the fans and expects more of them in the near future: “My players deserve to play in front of a gym full of fans in every game, especially in the playoffs. Because we give everything we have on the court in every single game like we did today. Is this a message that our fans do not care about this championship title? Ultimately this can be perceived in this way. There may be people who think that. We have millions of fans, but where are they? Maybe they are not happy about the team or the coach? If this is the problem we are open to everything. The solution is easy. So thanks very much to everyone who came here tonight. They really supported us”.
