Gigi Datome scored 25 points shooting with an outstanding 10/11 from the field, as Fenerbahce routed Tofas Bursa 95 – 77 on the road to take a 3 – 1 lead in the Turkish BSL Finals.
The defending champions now need to win Game 5 in Istanbul (Wednesday 13/6) in order to celebrate their third consecutive league title. Tofas, on the other hand, have an uphill battle ahead of them to stand a chance in the series.
Fenerbahce was superior from start to finish with a practically unstoppable offense mainly due to some quite potent 3-point shooting (15/24). The visiting squad held a double-digit lead for the majority of the match and faced no problems whatsoever.
Pierria Henry’s efforts of 21 points/10 assists plus Kenny Kadji’s (18 points, six rebounds) and Josh Owens’ game (14 points, six rebounds) weren’t enough for Tofas that was without Raymar Morgan for the second game in a row.
Apart from Datome, Bobby Dixon and Brad Wanamaker scored 15 points apiece for Fenerbahce. James Nunnally added 14 points.
