Former EuroLeague champion Marcus Slaughter has officially joined Turkish side Bahcesehir that will compete in the First Division BSL next season.
Slaughter, 33, returns to Turkey where he previously played with Darussafaka Istanbul in 2015-2017 and also Pinar Karsiyaka back in his debut season as a pro in 2006-2007.
In 2017-2018, Slaughter played for Virtus Bologna in Italy. In 30 games of the Serie A League, the American center averaged 9 points, 7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per match.
Throughout his long career in Europe, Slaughter has also played for Brose Bamberg and Real Madrid with which he won the EuroLeague title in 2015.
Bahcesehir will participate in BSL by replacing Eskisehir following the latter’s withdrawal from the championship.
