Galatasaray announced Friday that the issue with the team’s ban from FIBA was resolved with an official statement.
Per Galatasaray: “The transfer ban brought by FIBA to our basketball team due to pending payments to athletes and managers since the 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons has been lifted within the framework of the payments made this week and the agreement made with FIBA. We wish a successful season for our branch.”
Galatasaray, that established its new season squad, could not issue licenses for its new transfers due to these debts, though with the withdrawal of the transfer ban, the team will be able to settle everything ahead of the new season.
