In a tough and close game from start to finish, Anadolu Efes came out on top in the end against Fenerbahce with a 65-62 win in the Turkish Supercup Final.
It was a completely balanced game throughout the first half which in fact barely belonged to Fenerbahce 30-28. The halftime break seemed to be exactly what Efes needed and with a strong third quarter (16-6) they turn the situation to their favor (44-36).
Fenerbahce tried to make a comeback in the fourth period and closed to gap to just two points (64-62) in the final minute but couldn’t make the final step as Efes managed to ward them off and secure the game.
Dogus Balbay and Adrien Moerman led the victors with 13 points each while Krunoslav Simon helped with 11. On the other side, Kostas Sloukas had a great night scoring game-high 24 points but couldn’t change the final outcome.
