Ahmet Duverioglu made seven out seven shots from the field banking 16 points and helping Fenerbahce get a 67-55 road win against Gaziantep on Day 4 of Turkish League.
Duverioglu also added five rebounds while he received some help from Kostas Sloukas and Muhammed Ali who scored 11 points each. For Gaziantep, Marko Tomas scored 14 in addition to Dogan Senli’s 11 points.
I seemed as though this would be an easy win for Fenerbahce as they were up by as much as 18 points (36-18) already midway through the second quarter, eventually going on the halftime rest with a 36-23 lead.
However, Gaziantep began the second half with a 13-4 run closing the gap to just four points (40-36). Despite the momentum being on the hosts’ side, Fenerbahce managed to consolidate and take over the control of the game slowly regaining the double-digit lead (51-41) and not letting go until the end.
Fenerbahce stayed perfect with a 4-0 in the domestic league while Gaziantep holds a 2-2 record.
