Banvit trailed by double-digits in the third quarter but managed to come back and win 72-71 against Afyon Belediyespor in the final seconds of the Turkish League Day 9 match.
Afyon grabbed the 71-70 lead after Earl Calloway’s triple with ten seconds remaining but in the following offense, Banvit’s Devin Oliver cut to the basket and dunked setting the final score.

Oliver finished the game with ten points while Ridvan Oncel led the way with 16. Sehmus Hazer and Jordan Morgan added 14 points each.
For the guests, Tyrus McGee banked game-high 20 points in addition to Frank Elegar’s 18 points.
Afyon had a 35-33 advantage at halftime and then went ahead by a 14-point margin (55-41). However, Banvit bounced back and prevailed in the exciting finish.
Yesterday (5/12), Zach Auguste pushed Galatasaray to a road win against Darussafaka while Jason Rich and Besiktas upset Anadolu Efes. Fenerbahce overcame Pinar Karsiyaka although it came at a cost.
Fenerbahce holds the top of the standings with 8-0 while Efes and Tofas are behind with 6-3. Banvit and Afyon are at the bottom with 2-6 records along with Istanbul BBSK.
