Jeremy Evans put on an all-around performance and led Darussafaka Tekfen to a 94-87 home win against Turk Telekom on Day 14 of Turkish League. Darussafaka improved to 6-7 while Turk Telekom now holds a 9-4 record.
Evans banked 20 points along with 13 rebounds while also adding five assists. Michael Eric added 14 points and eight rebounds but was ejected from the game due to hitting two opposing players. Toney Douglas scored 12 points.
For Turk Telekom, Sylven Landesberg nailed game-high 26 points while Kenny Gabriel helped with 12 points and nine rebounds in addition to Vladimir Stimac’s 14 points and eight rebounds.
Turk Telekom was ahead 25-20 after ten minutes and kept a small 45-43 advantage at halftime. It was a balanced game after the break but Darussafaka was slowly taking over (65-62) and has done so completely in the fourth quarter on their way to a double-digit win.
Banvit improved to 4-9 with an upset against Fenerbahce after overtime. Fener still stands alone at the top with 11-2 while Efes follows with 10-3 after beating Buyuksehir which holds a 4-9 record. Tofas (8-5) had the week off.
