Kenneth Hayes nailed 35 points and led Buyukcekmece to a 76-69 comeback win against Darussafaka on Day 15 of Turkish League. Both teams now hold a 6-8 record.
Hayes shot 9-21 from the field but was perfect from the free throw line (15-15). He got some help from Osiris Eldrige with 13 points. For Darussafaka Toney Douglas scored 22 in addition to Jeremy Evans’ double-double of 14 points and 18 boards.
Earlier, Anadolu Efes exploded right from the start and eventually recorded a 97-78 home win over Afyon Belediyespor. James Birsen led the way with 18 points in addition to Brock Motum’s 17 points and eight boards. For Afyon, Altan Erol scored 16 points.
Yesterday (13/1), Fenerbahce improved to 12-2 after routing Sakarya (4-10) and is followed by Efes (10-3).
