Adrien Moerman scored a season-high 29 points as Anadolu Efes beat Besiktas 78 – 70 to advance in the Turkish Cup Final.
It took Moerman 21:20 to notch his offensive record for 2018-2019. The French forward shot 7/7 2-pointers and 5/9 3-pointers en route to finishing with 29 points and thus surpassing his previous season-best of 25 points he had from a league game vs. Galatasaray.
Thanks to Moerman’s efforts, Efes went up even by 26 points, 65 – 39, near the end of the third period and gave coach Ergin Ataman a chance for some rotation. Besiktas grabbed the opportunity and made a comeback attempt to approach by six, 76 – 70 with 1:31 remaining following a 3-pointer by Erkan Veyseloglu (16 points). But that was the last his team scored in the match.
