A rather unusual incident took place in a Turkish Second Division League (TBL) game between DSI Ankara and Ormanspor.
With nine minutes remaining in the game and his team down 78 – 90, DSI Ankara player David Weaver dunked the ball in after an alley-oop pass. The thing is that he also brought down the basket in the process.
The two teams had to change facilities for the game to be resumed since there weren’t any baskets to replace the one that was damaged. It actually took 40 minutes for them to be transferred from the Ankara district of Etlik to Marmak in order to continue playing.
