Joe Alexander scored 22 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with six seconds remaining, and grabbed eight rebounds to push Besiktas past Darussafaka 74 – 73 on the road.
Toney Douglas missed the shot to win the match for Dacka after Alexander’s triple and the visiting squad got the victory. Besiktas is now sixth in the standings with 12 – 11 while Dacka remains tied with Pinar Karsiyaka at the ninth spot after dropping to 10 – 13.
Jeremy Evans finished with 20 points and seven rebounds for Dacka.
This match concluded Round 23 in the Turkish League. Standings leaders Anadolu Efes and defending champion Fenerbahce beat Bahcesehir and Istanbul Buyuksehir respectively. Fener, that is 19 – 3 to Efes 20 – 3, plays a Round 19 postponed match vs. Gaziantep at home Tuesday (9/4).
