Anadolu Efes is the first team to advance in the Turkish BSL League semifinals. Thanks to a near-triple-double performance by Shane Larkin, Efes beat Banvit 87 – 77 on the road in Game 2 of the quarterfinals to sweep the best-of-three series.
Larkin posted 18 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds in 30:04 coming off the bench. Rodrigue Beaubois (18 points, five assists, four rebounds) and Bryant Dunston (18 points) completed the winning equation for Efes.
From Banvit, Alex Perez finished with a game-high 19 points, Tolga Gecim had 18 points and seven rebounds while Jordan Morgan notched 14 points and five boards.
In the other Turkish League playoffs game held Sunday (26/5), Shaq McKissic (19 points, four assists, four rebounds) helped Gaziantep defeat Galatasaray 79 – 69 at home to tie the series 1-1.
Aaron Harrison scored 20 for Galatasaray. The “Cimbom” host Game 3 in Istanbul.
