Fenerbahce Beko head coach Zeljko Obradovic commented and thanked his star guard Kostas Sloukas for his decision to become available and participate in Game 3 of the Turkish League Finals despite the loss of his father two days ago.
“We talked with all the players in the locker room. We’re very sorry about Kostas’ father passed away,” Obradovic said in the post-game presser of Game 3. “He came back to support the team in a very difficult situation for him. Especially as a coach I am very happy, I thank him very much. No matter what, we will always be one. Since I came here and started working with this team, this has always been and will continue to be.”
Fenerbahce lost to Anadolu Efes in Game 3 and is now trailing 2-1 in the series. Obradovic’s team is hosting Game 4 Saturday (15/6).
