It was a fairly balanced game for the first three quarters but Anadolu Efes took over late and grabbed an 81-71 home win against Turk Telekom in the Turkish League. Efes improved to 7-1 compared to Turk Telekom’s 3-5 record.
James Anderson and Tibor Pleiss logged 13 points and eight boards each for the victors while Sertac Sanli and Alec Peters added 12 points each.
For Turk Telekom, Ronald Hunter and Muhammed Baygul scored 12 each in addition to Kyle Wiltjer’s 11 points. Moustapha Fall flirted with a double-double by getting nine points and ten boards.
Efes had minimal lead after the first quarter (25-24) while it was a tie at halftime (41-41). The hosts were up 60-56 in front of the final period in which they took off with a 19-6 run to take the win.
