Fenerbahce Beko beat Teksut Bandirma 89 – 79 to improve its Turkish BSL League record to 10-3. The generally struggling Fener returned to wins following three losses in a row – three in EuroLeague (to Anadolu Efes, Panathinaikos and Zenit St. Petersburg) and one in BSL (to Efes).
Six players scored in double figures for the winning squad. Gigi Datome led with 18 points, Nando De Colo added 15 points, Derrick Williams 13 and Joffrey Lauvergne had a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Bobby Dixon dropped 11 points, Melih Mahmutoglu 10 while Kostas Sloukas dished out nine assists to go with his six points.
For Bandirma, Emanuel Terry finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds, Omar Prewitt had 19 points plus six boards, Tyler Kalinoski scored 13 and Ian Hummer tallied 11 points and eight rebounds.
Before the game, Fenerbahce fans voiced expressed their support to coach Zeljko Obradovic. Some of them chanted “new contract for Obradovic.”
