Shane Larkin is used to big-time plays and proved so once again as he hit the game-winner to lead Anadolu Efes to an 82-80 overtime victory over Pinar Karsiyaka and take the top position of the Turkish League standings.
With 21 seconds to go into the fourth period, Larkin tied the score to 73 points. Karsiyaka’s Tony Taylor missed the chance to hit the game-winner with four seconds left, sending the game to overtime. Efes used the extra five-minute period at the fullest, and quickly got a 7-0 run. Karsiyaka answered to tie the score once again, with Larkin having the last say at the final buzzer.
He completed the game with 21 points, four rebounds, as Vasilije Micic also added 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Earlier in Round 15, De Colo paced Fenerbahce to victory over Bursaspor.
This was a crucial victory for Efes that now tops the standings with a 14-1 record, leaving Karsiyaka and Fenerbahce behind at a 12-3 record.
