Who are the best rebounders in each of the top leagues in Europe? Eurohoops.net counted the rebounds of the top of the kind and presents to you the best!

You can see below the ones that excelled but also the next best two on the list with the best rebounders of the season in the seven best leagues of Europe (Italy, VTB, France, Germany, Greece, Turkey and Spain). From the 23yearold center from Cape Verde, Walter Tavares to the 33 years old Shawn King and the only “white” guy on the list.

Rebounds: 10,9 per game

O.D. Anosike emerged for the second time as the top rebounder in the Italian championship in as many years of his professional career. Last year with Scavolini, this year with Avellino. His streak is even bigger since he was the top rebounder in the NCAA and his two last college years at the University of Siena. He is after all a player that is worth watching.

The oldest player that emerged as the top rebounder in one of the best championships in Europe is the 33yearold Shawn King, a veteran of European courts. The top rebounder in the French championship this year, he had an even higher average (13,8) in the 2012-13 season, but due to the small number of games he had played he didn’t earn the distinction.

He is only one centimeter over 2 meters tall, but the best rebounder in the history of Washington College earned the same distinction in the German championship as well with Ludwigsburg. John Brockman has, among other things, an impressive balance in defensive and offensive rebounds with 5,6 defensive and 4 offensive per game! Also, he is the only white player on the list.

He has been playing in Europe for the past three years and he’s moving upwards all the time. Alex Stepheson was the top rebounder in Turkey with Istanbul BSB and he showed that he can make that extra step. Besides, he had 13 double doubles in 29 games. He holds the record for most rebounds in his career in school despite having played only three years.
