This year’s Basketball Champions League has already provided great spectacle, while many players have already stood out in the competition, showing their talent through scoring. Eurohoops examines the Top 10 best scorers so far and the results are stunning!
One example of this “shooting season” is Tyson Carter of Lavrio, who recently spoke to Eurohoops about reaching the next level in BCL. Carter is one of the players that have stood out the most, whilst shooting with a stunning 62.5% from the three-pointer and is currently one of the leaders in this category so far in the season. While his shooting from beyond the arch is excellent, his mid-range percentage so far is not enough to place him at the top of the list.
In fact, this spot belongs to Unicaja Malaga’s Tim Abromaitis and Tofas’ Berk Ugurlu, who both shoot with an inconceivable 71.4%! Following, Igokea’s James Robinson shoots with 66.7% to take the third place, while Nizhny Novgorod’s Ivan Strebkov is fourth with 64.3%.
This is the season of the shooters as it seems, as, after three rounds, 28 players have been shooting with an accuracy of at least 50% from the three-point line. In fact, in order to find a player with less than 40%, you would have to look even further down the least of top scorers, at the 65th spot!
Here is the table with the 10 top shooters of this year in the Basketball Champions League:
