Missing the last three summers, the Stoiximan AegeanBall Festival is back and welcomes Serbian superstar Vasilije Micic among the guests of Giorgos Printezis. With a helping hand provided by strategic media sponsor Eurohoops, the 3X3 special will feature many more players in Syros participating in multiple tournaments and more spectacles on the schedule starting today, Wednesday, and stretching all the way to Sunday, 10 July.

Micic, 28, was merely the latest official addition confirmed to make his way to the Greek island located in the Aegean Sea and spend part of his offseason vacations in the fair-play basketball environment. Included in a packed lineup, the back-to-back Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion as a leading player of Anadolu Efes will display his 3X3 talents in the event organized by the recently-retired player Printezis, proud of his family roots in Syros.

Nikola Milutinov and Sasha Vezenkov are among the other big names accepting the invitation and thus slated to be part of the Stoiximan AegeanBall main events expected to create an entertaining mix of Greek and foreign players. Naming a few more participants, Dimitris Diamantidis, Ioannis Bourousis, Ioannis Papapetrou, Giorgos Papagiannis, and Dimitris Agravanis jump out of the list.

Created by Printezis, the AegeanBall Festival came into existence introducing itself in 2016. The huge success prompted a repeat in 2017 and from there the third edition in 2018. Restrictions of the health and safety guidelines stemming from the coronavirus pandemic forced a pause but four years later the AegeanBall Festival is eager to recover Syros as the summer basketball capital.
