Ekpe Udoh, the 2017 EuroLeague Final Four MVP with Fenerbahce Beko, revealed his all-time favorite teammates from his days with the Turkish powerhouse.
“I think it’s probably between Bobby Dixon and Gigi Datome,” Udoh said on the latest episode of Eurohoops’ EurohooPOD. “Gigi… he and his family they took me in. They would invite me over during the holidays and they looked after me. That was great.”
“Playing-wise… I think that me and Jan [Vesely] probably had the best connection,” Udoh added. “Me and Jan and me and Gigi. That’s where the majority of my assists went. But everybody was cool. Pero Antic. We all had our good times. When you win together you never forget each other. Especially at that highest level.”
“Gigi should’ve been born in like the 70s,” Udoh also mentioned. “He’s this kind of earthly, hippie guy…”
