Action over recent days, across the international window, featured seven national teams clinching a berth in the 2025 EuroBasket.
Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, and Turkiye joined the participating field alongside the co-hosts Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland.
The next international window of FIBA, scheduled to start on February 20, will decide the remaining 13 countries to compete in next summer’s tournament. With the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season schedule featuring a three-week break in February, additional players are expected to become available for their respective national teams.

Previewing the February window, Eurohoops presents remaining options for the 21 countries vying for a ticket to the EuroBasket.
Group A
Portugal is in a commanding position to make its first EuroBasket appearance since 2011. A win against either Israel or Ukraine would seal the deal.
On the other hand, Ukraine must beat Slovenia and Portugal, and earn the tiebreaker advantage over the fellow contender, besides Portugal also falling to Israel.
Standings
1. y-Slovenia 7 (3-1)
2. y-Israel 7 (3-1)
3. Portugal 6 (2-2)

Group B
A similar situation to Portugal emerges for Iceland. Earning a two-game advantage over Hungary, defeating the fellow contender, or losing by a margin of four points or less, would clinch a berth. A win against Turkiye or Italy taking down Hungary in Gameday 6 would also do the trick.
The Magyars require two wins and the tiebreaker opposite Iceland to hope to advance.
Standings
1. y-Italy 7 (3-1)
2. y-Turkiye 7 (3-1)
3. Iceland 6 (2-2)
4. Hungary 4 (0-4)

Group C
At 2-2, Belgium needs to beat Slovakia or at least protect a five-point win in the reverse fixture to progress. Otherwise, the Lions must beat Spain or wait for Latvia to eliminate Slovakia in Gameday 6.
Slovakia reaching the final stage of a major international tournament for the first time would need an away win over Belgium and the tiebreaker, an ensuing win over Latvia, and Belgium remaining shy of a win versus Spain.
Standings
1. h-Latvia 8 (4-0)
2. Belgium 6 (2-2)
3. y-Spain 6 (2-2)
4. Slovakia 4 (0-4)

Group D
At 3-1, Montenegro is in the best position compared to Germany, Sweden, and Bulgaria but has not clinched a berth.
Huge implications across the four games of the next international window.
Potential tiebreaking situations can be affected by Germany defeating Montenegro by a margin of 24 points in Ludwigsburg, back in Gameday 1.
Standings
1. Montenegro 7 (3-1)
2. Germany 6 (2-2)
3. Sweden 6 (2-2)
4. Bulgaria 5 (1-3)

Group E
France needs one win in February or at least protect tiebreaking advantages over Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina to clinch.
From 4-0 of Les Bleus to the Balkan countries tied at 2-2, Bosnia-Herzegovina got the tiebreaker over Croatia on Sunday.
Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia can both fit in and eliminate France through a potential three-way tie.
Standings
1. France 8 (4-0)
2. Bosnia-Herzegovina 6 (2-2)
3. Croatia 6 (2-2)
4. h-Cyprus 4 (0-4)

In the second four-way race, Greece is in the lead behind a 3-1 tally but needs more work to qualify.
With Czechia, Great Britain, and the Netherlands in the running for the three tickets, important clashes are coming up in February.
Standings
1. Greece 7 (3-1)
2. Czechia 6 (2-2)
3. Great Britain 6 (2-2)
4. Netherlands 5 (1-3)
February window
Netherlands – Great Britain (21/2)
Czechia – Greece (21/2)
Great Britain – Czechia (24/2)

Group G
Georgia can advance with a home win against Denmark. If that is not the case, it would need to beat Serbia and Denmark to fall to Finland in the last part of the six-game double-legged round-robin schedule.
Seeking the first EuroBasket berth since 1955, Denmark must beat Georgia in Gameday 5 and take down Finland or wait for Serbia to potentially defeat Georgia in Gameday 6 to get the job done.
Standings
1. y-Serbia 8 (4-0)
2. Georgia 6 (2-2)
3. h-Finland 5 (1-3)
4. Denmark 5 (1-3)

Denmark – Finland (24/2)
Serbia – Georgia (24/2)
Group H
Carrying a two-game advantage into the next window, Estonia can progress with a home win over North Macedonia or with a loss up to a margin of four points. A potential unsuccessful effort in Gameday 5 would extend the bid to Gameday 6 and a visit to fellow Baltic country Lithuania.
To advance, North Macedonia needs to beat Estonia and earn the tiebreaker advantage, also beat Poland, and still hope Lithuania overpowers Estonia.
Standings
1. Estonia 7 (3-1)
2. y-Lithuania 7 (3-1)
3. North Macedonia 5 (1-3)
