The EuroLeague Fantasy campaign continues with Juancho Hernangomez and Carsen Edwards as our latest picks.
To avoid the lack of reviews on rare poor tips emerging from our column, which are indeed outnumbered by suggestions leading to many more Fantasy points, we must confess last week was far from ideal.
Nikola Milutinov was not so bad but we expected more from the Serbian center of Olympiacos.
Konstantinos Mitoglou of Panathinaikos Aktor provided spare change and places among a few failed tips.
The lack of success is part of the game. We are looking to bounce back this week.
Most importantly, we are forced to make a costly adjustment, parting ways with Filip Petrusev. We suggested adding the Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet player way before his value went up to 10.5 units, behind several solid showings.
With the Belgrade outfit facing Olympiacos during his loan assignment, he is ineligible for Round 15 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. It stings but we must remove him from our Fantasy squad to avoid sacrificing Fantasy points.
Among the consistent contributors of uneasy Panathinaikos, Hernangomez takes his place. He will cost slightly more, but we are confident in a decisive performance by the Spanish big against Anadolu Efes.
Looking into our guards, an attractive option in the form of Edwards demands our attention. The FC Bayern Munich player leads the EuroLeague in scoring with 20.4 points per game. However, his Fantasy value falls shy of his production.
With 12.9 units, we secure the services of a prolific scorer amid a brilliant campaign with the German club.
At home versus Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, we expect an up-tempo game that fits Edwards.
Over the last seven outings, he has constantly recorded a PIR of 20 or more. We can not overlook such showings, especially at 12.9 units.
