With the dust settled after the completion of the Regular Season of the 2024-25 edition of the Basketball Champions League, eight teams advanced directly to the Round of 16, and sixteen more earned a second opportunity to progress through a best-of-three Play-In series.

Before the next stages, Eurohoops recaps the Regular Season, compiling lists of the top five players in efficiency, points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.

Unfortunately, some of the standouts did not avoid an early exit from the league. In contrast, several stats leaders combined their efforts with a ticket to the Round of 16.

The rookie from BYU

After playing in Slovakia and Georgia, Zac Seljaas went to the second-tier division of Germany and from there to FIT/ONE Wurzburg Baskets and the top division of Germany over the last two years. The 2024-25 campaign extended from the easyCredit BBL to the Champions League and first place in the efficiency list of the Regular Season.

Seljaas, 27, was the Player of the Week 2 but did not stop there. Averaging 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest helped generate a league-high 139 efficiency points, besides clinching a berth in the Round of 16 via the top seed of Group A.

Narrowly missing the cut with a total of 111 efficiency, Saben Lee topped the list based on averages with 27.8 per game over four appearances with Manisa.

Thomas Kennedy dominates the boards

Telekom Baskets Bonn went from surviving demanding opponents in the Qualification Rounds to being edged out by fellow former BCL champion AEK Betsson in the race for first place in Group E. Thomas Kennedy was a huge part of the success.

Leading the league with 62 rebounds in the Regular Season, the 24-year-old forward previously grabbed six in the Qualifiers.

No rest as Kennedy and his teammates are preparing for a Play-In challenge opposite UnaHotels Reggio Emilia.

Kendale McCullum leads in assists

Maccabi Ramat Gan facing Szombathely and leading star Perl is a tough draw for Kendale McCullum, especially after dishing out a league-high 44 assists in the Regular Season.

Returning to the Champions League after the spell with Rytas in the 2022-23 season, the 28-year-old guard was spectacular. He was even named Player of the Week 9.

However, his side settled in third place in Group E, behind AEK and Bonn.

One steal behind the above players, McCullum’s efforts were highlighted in yet another list.
