Just as the EuroLeague season is nearing its end, the same goes for the awards given out by Eurohoops. And shortly before the… final lap, the time has come for all those players that managed to make the difference, but not such a big one as to win the powerful competition as well as the preference of the website’s writers. The time has come for the “Best Second Team”.

Here are who and how we voted:

Bogdan Bogdanovic (Fenerbahce Istanbul): 10 picks in First Team, 9 picks in Second Team
14.5 pts | 3.6 rbs | 3.9 as | 1.1 st | 0.3 bl | 2.2 to | 27:54 min | 17 PIR

Many believe the 25-year-old Serbian shooting guard will be playing in the colors of the Kings in the new season, but until then he has done everything to honor those of Fenerbahce. After he missed the first few months of the season, he gradually returned to the desired level and with top class performances helped them qualify for the Final Four for the third time in a row (and overall in their history).

Giorgios Printezis (Olympiacos Piraeus): 10 picks in First Team, 9 picks in Second Team
12.9 pts | 5.2 rbs | 1 as | 0.7 st | 0.1 bl | 0.7 to | 25:17 min | 15.2 PIR

The 32-year-old power forward has been in top form in the last few years and one of the best in his position. Counting two six-year stints on the team, he’s the oldest player in Olympiacos and also a key player in the qualifying wins against Anadolu Efes in the playoffs.

Chris Singleton (Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens): 8 picks in First Team, 13 picks in Second Team
12 pts | 5.9 rbs | 1.2 as | 1.2 st | 1 bl | 1.4 to | 28:14 min | 15.6 PIR

The affair of his signing lasted several months, as did his good performances in the competition. Unfortunately for Panathinaikos, they weren’t enough to give them their return ticket to the Final Four. This doesn’t undo the 27-year-old American power forward’s excellent season, as he was a barometer in offense and had a key role in defense.

Brad Wanamaker (Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul): 1 pick in First Team, 10 picks in Second Team
16.7 pts | 3.1 rbs | 4.6 as | 1.5 st | 0.1 bl | 3 to | 33:28 min | 17.6 PIR

The 28-year-old American point guard cashed in his first year in the EuroLeague with Bamberg with the highest contract on Darussafaka’s roster, and it turned out that he was worth his price. His stats were full every time and he almost helped them make the big step to the playoffs.
