There are players that dazzle (you) on the court, each in their own way. And then there’s the “Sergio Llull” category. Real Madrid’s 29-year-old Spanish point guard is the founder, member, registrar and president of that category, and now he’s also the EuroLeague’s “MVP of the Year”, as voted by the website’s writers.
This is his second individual distinction within a few days, after his inclusion in the “All-EuroLeague First Team” by Eurohoops.

Sergio Llull (Real Madrid): 15 votes
16.4 pts | 1.9 rbs | 5.9 as | 0.8 st | 0.1 bl | 2.3 to | 27:44 min | 16.8 PIR
He safely led Real Madrid to the Final Four of the EuroLeague and he’s going to travel to Istanbul with career-high averages in points, assists and PIR, hoping to proceed accordingly and of course to win another trophy after the one from 2015.
Nando de Colo (CSKA Moscow): 3 votes
19.4 pts | 2.9 rbs | 4 as | 1 st | 0.1 bl | 3.3 to | 26:59 min | 21.5 PIR
His averages have slightly dropped compared to last year, but they’re still more than enough for him to be there with CSKA Moscow in the final phase of the competition, aiming for the back to back win.
Milos Teodosic (CSKA Moscow): 2 votes
16.2 pts | 2.1 rbs | 7 as | 0.6 st | 0 bl | 3.1 to | 28:23 min | 17.4 PIR
His performances remain at a high level, as does his personal need to lead CSKA Moscow to a repeat, having already traveled halfway with averages with slight variations from last season.
Ekpe Udoh (Fenerbahce Istanbul): 2 votes
12 pts | 7.6 rbs | 1.9 as | 1 st | 2.1 bl | 1.2 to | 31:38 min | 19.9 PIR
He’s a source of fear for any opponent who wants to get close to the paint, but his presence for Fenerbahce extends to the entire court, counting a double-digit point average for the third season in a row and a career-high number of rebounds, among others.
Bogdan Bogdanovic (Fenerbahce Istanbul): 1 vote
14.5 pts | 3.6 rbs | 3.9 as | 1.1 st | 0.3 bl | 2.2 to | 27:54 min | 17 PIR
He’s coming off impressive performances in the playoffs that helped Fenerbahce return to another EuroLeague Final Four, with an improved career average in assists and PIR, while he came close to a comparable performance in points, rebounds and steals.
