The press conference ahead of the “Antetokounbros Athens” event included a special announcement since the founding of the “Eurohoops Academy” became official!
The new academies, founded by Eurohoops, will be based at state-of-the-art establishments in the suburb of Kifissia (Evrota 24, PO Box 14564), Athens, Greece, where children will be able to learn the secrets of basketball, under the tutelage of exceptional coaches and under the management of a EuroLeague legend like Dimitris Diamantidis!
The announcement was made by Thodoris Papaloukas who explained the purpose of the academy:
“I’m pleased to announce that the first Eurohoops Academy will be founded on September at a completely modern, state-of-the-art establishment. Me and Dimitris (Diamantidis) will be the Supervisors. Our purpose is to channel what we represent. This purpose isn’t necessarily to create new champions, like (Nikos) Galis, (Panagiotis) Giannakis, Giannis (Antetokounmpo) and Thanasis (Antetokounmpo). First and foremost we want the children to acquire a sports mentality that we consider to be the right one. We work very hard to complete the project properly and make it ready on time for the children. But also for us who’ll make individual practices.”
