So here’s a story of summer basketball in the Greek islands and how EuroLeague stars help each other in an hour of need. Even during vacations.
Bogdan Bogdanovic was spending some days at the island of Mykonos, Greece before heading to Syros for the LG Aegean Ball Festival, following the invitation by Syros native and tournament organizer Giorgos Printezis.
Apparently, the Serbian guard got so enamored with the natural beauty of Mykonos that he wanted to squeeze each and every second of his time there.
Only… this led him to miss the ship for Syros. And his participation to the LG Aegean Ball Festival was suddenly put in jeopardy.
As a person notorious for saving the day… at the buzzer, Giorgos Printezis had a last-minute intervention up his sleeve to help Bogdanovic not miss the appointment with the Aegean Bball fans. The Greek forward arranged for a chopper to fly to Mykonos and get Bogdanovic right on time to join the 3X3 tournament.
True to his fame as a great guy, Bogdan rewarded his gracious host and the festival’s attendants with some insane highlights.
