While Khimki, Real Madrid, Olympiacos and CSKA Moscow lead the standings with a 4-1 record, it’s obvious that there’s no easy game for anyone. The 16 EuroLeague teams have no fear no matter where they play and they are able to get the win, even when it’s not expected.

And that’s why it helps to have players like the following guy.

MVP

Nando De Colo

Best Five

  1. Jayson Granger: He got the job done for Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz with 20 points, 6/7 threes, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in the win over Panathinaikos Superfoods.
  2. Nando De Colo: The 2016 MVP is back.
  3. Alexey Shved: Despite 7/18 field goals, he was one of the main reasons for Khimki Moscow Region’s big road win against Real Madrid. He finished the night with 20 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds.
  4. Jan Vesely: He led the champs with a full stats line as Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul got the job done against Valencia Basket. He has 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and no turnovers.
  5. Alex Tyus: He dominated the boards for Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv on the way to the 79-68 win over AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Coach of the week: Andrea Trinchieri

After a bad start in the season, Brose Bamberg is back on track with three straight wins. Coach Trinchieri made things work and that was proven in one of the hardest gyms in Europe. Bamberg got the road win against Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade and remain one of the most solid teams in the league.

Last word: Efes left in zero

Only one team has a 0-5 record after five weeks of action and nobody expected them to be Anadolu Efes. After losing to Unicaja at home, the Turkish team must find a way to bounce back. That was a must-win game for them, but they fell short.
