If you’re a frequent reader, you might as well know that Eurohoops brings you all domestic league action all weekend long (and not just then). Just hover over the national championships section on the top of the page to pick your favorite league!

This time around though, we will focus on single players that have managed to stand out throughout the rounds with their performances, regardless of their team’s result or league.

Buckle up and let’s begin!

Ivan Almeida – BC Kalev (VTB League)

29-year-old Almeida made his VTB League debut in the most epic fashion ever. The Cape Verdean forward posted a weekly-high performance of 36 points, along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Almeida set the bar high by also clinching the 12th best index rating ever in the league. If anything, here at Eurohoops we love impressive debuts.

Will Thomas – Valencia (ACB League)

There was a man that stood out more than any other in the third day of the new Spanish League season and that was no other than Will Thomas.

With 25 points, eight rebounds and an overall index rating of 36, Thomas not only earned a spot on our list, but was also named Player of the Week in Spain.

(Editor’s note: Can we also appreciate the compelling riff in the video above?)

Quino Colom – Bahcesehir (BSL)

Another debut performance made the Fab Five cut this week. Quino Colom left Unics Kazan for Bahcesehir of the Turkish League and in his first official game with the team, he posted 32 points, including seven (!) shots from behind the arc.

Just a reminder, Bahcesehir spent the previous season in the second division.

Stratos Perperoglou – Crvena Zvezda (ABA League)

There was a huge derby in the ABA League this weekend and Crvena Zvezda managed to overcome its EuroLeague successor Buducnost. This road win wouldn’t have been the same without the Reds’ Stratos Perperoglou, who played a key role in the game.

Alright, his 20-point performance might not look as impressive as the rest of the Fab Five, though, given the nature of the game, it was more than enough.

Caleb Green – Avelino (Legabasket)

Aleksa Avramovic scored 30 points in Varese’s win over Brescia, Norris Cole had 21 points and 13 rebounds on his debut with Avellino, but his teammate Caleb Green stole the show. The veteran forward had a phenomenal performance in the 98-81 win over Cantu.

He finished the game with 32 points and 15 rebounds, for a total 42 ranking. It can’t get better than this!
