The EuroLeague Regular Season Round 22 held a special moment for Vassilis Spanoulis. The Olympiacos captain climbed up to the top spot of the list with the players that have played the most minutes in Europe’s premier competition since 2000.
He remained on the court for 22:16 in the losing effort in Israel against Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv to surpass Juan Carlos Navarro’s 8,197:30 by two minutes and six seconds.
Kill Bill, who is 182 points away from Navarro in first place in the All-Time scorer’s table, needed 299 games to grab the top spot, 42 less then La Bomba played in the EuroLeague. Dimitris Diamantidis, also retired, is third, while Zalgiris Kaunas’ Paulius Jankunas sits in fourth place.
