Week 21 in VTB League is in the books and has left us with interesting stories to share! From the overtime battle in Parma to Jordan Mickey’s clutch performance for Khimki, let’s get started with what you should know about this past week of action!

MVP

Jordan Mickey – Khimki

Khimki grabbed a great victory over Kalev, paced by the incredible Jordan Mickey who put on a performance to be remembered. The 24-year-old forward posted 25 points on 9-11 FG shooting, as well as eight rebounds, and four blocks for a total PIR of 34, the highest of any other player this past week in the VTB League.

Khimki pushes for the homecourt advantage

Paced by MVP Mickey and Alexey Shved (20 points), Khimki grabbed a huge win on the road against Kalev and improved its record to 15-4, an important result that can pace them en route to the homecourt advantage for the playoffs if they manage to exceed their winning streak. On the other hand, Kalev balances right to eighth place with a 9-11 record.

Zenit triumphs on the road

The St. Petersburg side faced no struggle in Zielona Gora and managed to seal the most impressive result of the round, routed by Marko Simonovic and Jalen Reynolds who scored 21 points apiece to help their team improve to a 12-7 record.

However, this game will be remembered for one more reason! Reynolds stars in the best blooper of the week, as for a moment he seemed to have been confused about free-throws.

Unics dominant over Lokomotiv in the game of the week

It was a huge battle in Krasnodar, though visiting Unics managed to get away with the victory over Loko this time. Unics used a great comeback, paced by Maurice Ndour (22 points) and Melvin Ejim (15 points) and managed to defend their second place in the standings while improving to 15-4 at the same time. The hosts currently rank fourth, below Khimki, with a 13-6 record.
