Four head coaches guided their team to the 2019 EuroLeague Final Four. Dimitris Itoudis’ CSKA Moscow will face Pablo Laso’s Real Madrid. The veteran of the competition Zeljko Obradovic is back with Fenerbahce Beko and will go against Anadolu Efes and Ergin Ataman. Only the latter has never tasted EuroLeague glory.
Ahead of the 2019 Final Four, Eurohoops looks back on EuroLeague history and picks out the winningest head coaches of Europe’s premier competition. Obradovic leads the pack with nine championships to his name. He went all the way to the top with Partizan, Badalona, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos, before his triumph with Fener in 2017.
Laso is among the bosses with a pair of EuroLeague titles, both with the Whites in 2015 and 2018. Itoudis won it all in 2016. David Blatt in 2014 was the last head coach to conquer EuroLeague besides the three involved in the 2019 EuroLeague Final Four, but Ataman has the chance to repeat his success overcoming his three colleagues at Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Here are all the head coaches with at least two titles:
